History

The Athens Tennis Club was founded in 1895 as “ATHENS LAWN TENNIS CLUB”.  With uninterrupted operation and contribution to the youth it has today a history of 120 years! It was honored to host the tennis sport in the first modern Olympic Games (1986) and in the Middle-Olympiad (1906) in his sports facilities.

Description

The facilities of the Athens Tennis Club are located in a green area of about 15 acres between the columns of the Temple of the Olympian Zeus and the Acropolis Hill on the one hand, the Panathenaic Stadium and the hill of Ardittos on the other, and across the Zappeion Megaron and the National Garden. The facilities were refurbished due to the new international regulations and a new standard sized squash court with viewing platforms was created.
